y goal is to push lamps in a sculptural direction, to create beauty that entices the hand as well as the eye. Hours of sanding go into each piece to create sensuously smooth surfaces that invite touching; while the shades of rice paper supported by rafters, circular plates and posts, suggest architectural forms beyond traditional lamp shade design.
